Gathered in 1689 and organized in 1704, Christ Church Quincy has survived fires, wars, relocation, persecution by Puritans, the division of its parish into multiple entities, sudden loss of rectors, and many financial hardships to become the oldest and one of the most-beloved Episcopal communities in Massachusetts.

Part of Christ Church's historic longevity is attributable to what we've been since our founding. Quite simply, at Christ Church you're encouraged to think, challenge, voice your opinion, get involved, and find your own way to faith in Jesus. Our rectors have always offered guidance, but they've never dictated beliefs. In the process, they've created a vibrant community of faith that helps you find your best path to the Lord, whatever path that may be. They've also created a parish that has a long record of giving back to the community, from its involvement with local food banks and home outreach programs to its recently-opened Essentials Pantry.

Christ Church doesn't judge. Through the power of a structured yet simple service, we choose to focus on where you want to go in faith instead of where you've been in life. In fact, at Christ Church, we laugh a lot, smile more, and love to socialize. And everyone is allowed a place at the communion table if they want it. But that's the beauty of Christ Church, and of the Episcopal faith in general — acceptance. No matter what.

Christ Church Quincy. Where All Are Welcome!
